Some characteristics of visual search for moving stimuli consisting of multiple elements

(in English) In the present study, we examined the effect of motion pattern of multiple points on the visual search performance, using a biological motion stimuli. We measured the human body motion trajectory using a motion capture system, and generated several artificial motion trajectories by partially modifying the observed trajectory. We prepared a visual search task using the biological motion stimuli based on the original motion trajectory and those based on artificial trajectories, and compared the search time between different stimulus combinations. The result showed that people could find more easily the motion stimuli whose velocity changes were emphasized, and those whose elements moved in a synchronized manner.
