High frequency decoupling for reduction of common-mode current of three-phase inverter

(in English) Recently, electric vehicles have been developed rapidly, and three-phase inverters are also used in its motor drive circuits. In the three-phase inverter, common-mode current is generated and causes radiation of the electromagnetic field. However, a bypass capacitor to reduce the common-mode current was not used because it increased the transition time of MOSFET. In this research, the authors propose a design method of reduction of common mode current flowing on the cable to the motor. Using this method, we calculate reduction effect quantitatively. As a result of implementation of the proposed reduction design to a power conversion equipment, the common mode current reduces about 10 dB while suppressing the increase in the transition time of the MOSFET to 10 % or less by putting the bypass capacitor.
