Artificial Neural Network (ANN) System for Inference has attracted increasing attention. As widely known, Resistive Analog Neuro Device (RAND) is considered as one of the most promising devices to realize the energy-efficient ANN system and non von Neumann computing architecture which complements existing computing systems. The RAND has the great advantages regarding the miniaturization, because we can utilize the technical knowledge of the digital memory (ReRAM) in existence. Accordingly, the synchronized development of Hard- (namely RAND) and Soft- (for example, ANN architecture) systems is indispensable. In this contribution, the research trend of RAND system is shown, and we will discuss the method to evaluate the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Hard devices. Next, a novel leaning method that sets sign-invariant weights is also shown. This brings about effective innovation to the implementation of RAND, from the viewpoint of the larger device capacity and the faster data-transfer in the computing system. The obtained learned network showed the high accuracy comparable to non-sign-invariant ordinary networks for category classification. |
