| (in English) | The degradation of network quality caused by the rapid increase in traffic volume remains as an important issue for telecommunication carrier companies. The control of network quality in order to avoid congestion has become an increasingly important issue in network service design. However, quality has mainly been evaluated in terms of engineering strategy, such as delay reduction and increased bandwidth. It is less common to use a human-centered approach. This paper discusses a concept whereby the traffic load among multiple networks is shared by reinforcing behavior to change to another network. Author developed an application for smartphones. The application visualizes network usage history and supports users to choose an appropriate network. Field studies showed that the concept is effective in Wi-Fi offloading. | |
