Negative Effective Permeability Material Composed of Multi-Layer Ceramic Capacitors

(in English) Multi-layered ceramic capacitors (MLCC) has been employed for downsizing the unit cell structure of the metamaterial. In addition, SAR suppression methods and thin wave absorbers based on metamaterials composed of the MLCCs have been reported. This report presents the negative effective permeability material composed of the MLCCs. First, the effective permittivity and permeability are obtained and compared with the dispersion characteristics. Next, the reflection and transmission characteristics of the stacked metamaterial structure composed of the MLCCs are analyzed and compared with the experimental results.
