A study on packet collision reduction scheme using two step autonomous resource selection for LTE V2X

(in English) Long term evolution V2X (LTE V2X) has been specified as the 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) release 14 in 2017.LTE V2X has attracted a significant attention to improve intelligent transport systems (ITS). In LTE V2X, the direct communication which is termed as sidelink (SL) and the uplink/downlink communications are supported for road safety use cases. SL is expected to be used to realize the low latency communications. Thus, this paper proposes SL transmission scheme which reduces the packet collision rate caused by the concurrent resource reselection of other user equipments (UEs). In the proposed scheme, the UE which is going to conduct resource reselection in next transmission performs pre-resource selection, and notifies other UEs of resources virtually reserved by the UE. Effectiveness of proposed scheme is verified by computer simulation.
