(in English) In recent years, dense space division multiplexing (DSDM) technology has been one of the hottest topics in R&D field as an enabler for supporting mid- and long-term increasing internet traffic trend. This report introduces a multi-core fiber (MCF) transport network testbed deployed by the cooperation among Japanese and European institutes, whose objective was to demonstrate the applicability of DSDM technology in transport networks. In the testbed demonstration, we determined suitable modulation format by continuously monitoring inter-core crosstalk which affects quality of transmission, and based on that, we demonstrated the configurability of route and modulation formats of optical paths by the software defined networking (SDN) controller.
