By extending the equivalent transmission-path (ETP) model, which is a scheme to evaluate BER due to ISI in SISO systems, we develop a BER predicting scheme in MRC diversity reception. The model has a capability of unified estimation for any combinations of propagation environments and modulation/demodulation schemes. Finally we show a very simple calculation formula of BER due to ISI in MRC diversity reception commonly applicable to various modulation/demodulation schemes such as QPSKs and QAMs. |
