In recent years, mobile network operators have focused on QoE and QoC of users, which requires advanced network control technologies than that is for improving QoS. In addition, the amount of encrypted traffic has increased in order to protect personal information. Therefore, the operators need to estimate applications without inspecting packet payloads. Note that, in case of appearance of new applications, estimating applications needs to keep high estimation accuracy. Moreover, the traffic patterns are fluctuated by wireless quality changes, so that, estimation method needs to achieve high estimation accuracy and estimate applications in real time. In this paper, we propose a method of periodically updating analysis model based on probabilistic state transition model. After that, we present a system model for estimating applications in real time with updating analysis model. Through experiments estimating applications running on a smartphone, we found that our method achieved 88.8% of application estimation accuracy. |
