Prototype of Notification and Status Monitoring System for Supporting Local Communities using LINE

(in English) Japanese society is aging rapidly, which has resulted in an increasing the number of households of elderly single-person and household of elderly couple only. In this paper, we propose a system which uses LINE (a communication application) for notifying local information from local governments to the elderly or handicapped people, and monitoring health conditions or status of those people by local government staffs and social workers efficiently. Our system can be applied to users who have any smartphones installed LINE application. This paper also reports an operation test of the system prototype.
