Currently, wireless LAN terminals are in a dense environment due to the increase users using wireless LAN. In such an environment, packet collisions are likely to occur, causing degradation of transmission efficiency and communication quality. In the related works, an optimal collision avoidance control method according to the number of terminals has been proposed. The proposed scheme, the fixed contention window (CW) size of binary Backoff algorithm in the carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance (CSMA/CA) method is optimally selected according to the number of connected terminals.
In this paper, we studied and evaluated a method for dynamically selecting the optimum CW size for the number of connected terminals was implemented in the Raspberry Pi. |
