Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In recent years, the utilization of wireless communications in factory environments has been attracting significant attention. However, mutual interference can be caused by the coexistence of wireless communications devices following heterogeneous standards, and communications performance can get worse due to factory-specific propagation environments in factory environments. Therefore, in this paper, focusing on Wi-SUN and LoRa, which are the 920 MHz band radio communication standards, we experimentally verify the possibility of mutual interference because of simultaneous transmissions and spectral overlapping in a coexistence environment of Wi-SUN and LoRa. Specifically, we evaluate the packet delivery rate of Wi-SUN and LoRa with the employed channel of LoRa varied in environments where the spectrum of LoRa and Wi-SUN partially overlap. We also evaluate the performance of Wi-SUN and LoRa by experimental measurements in a factory environment where there are a number of industrial machines, metal products, and a huge moving crane. Specifically, we evaluate the packet delivery rate of Wi-SUN and LoRa with varied parameters, such as transmit power of Wi-SUN, distance between Wi-SUN transmitter and receiver, and distance between LoRa transmitter and receiver by allocating channels so that mutual interference between Wi-SUN and LoRa dose not occur. Finally, we discuss parameters that enable the efficient coexistence of Wi-SUN and LoRa, taking into account the impact of factory environments on their packet delivery rate.
