With the sudden increase and popularity of IoT devices, less latency is required from the network. The current solution to this problem is edge computing. However, in a large-scale IoT environment the computational resources on the edge will not be enough. In this paper, we will propose a new architecture called NDN Function Chaining which will leverage the benefits of Named-Data Networking (NDN) and Function Chaining to solve this problem. We will also discuss how to implement Function Chaining into NDN. |
