Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) SCMA has attracted attention as a brand-new communication technology that is suitable for device-to-device communications. In an SCMA system, every terminal transmits OFDM symbols carrying a few information bits according to its own sparse codebook. Sparseness of the codebooks enables to detect multiplexed signals even when many devices access simultaneously. In general, message passing algorithm (MPA) is used for signal detection. Gaussian belief propagation (GaBP), which is a kind of MPA, is suitable to detect massive signals with low complexity. In this paper, we evaluated the signal detection performance of GaBP in massive access situations. The simulation results show that good performance is obtained in dense codebook cases when the frequency correlation is low, and that more devices provide less bit error rate if the ratio of the subcarriers to devices is fixed.
