The propagation model for Massive MIMO at 20 GHz band.

(in English) Massive MIMO transmission, whose number of antennas at the base station (BS) is much larger than the number of user terminals, has attracted much attention as one of key technologies in next--generation mobile communication system, because it enables improvement in service area and interference mitigation by simple signal processing.
Outdoor propagation measurements in 20 GHz band have been performed and the basic performance of massive MIMO in the case of 100 element liner arrays has been verified. In this report, actual propagation channels which were obtained in outdoor propagation measurement was analyzed. A new propagation model for massive MIMO by reflecting the parameters in the propagation measurement such as angle/delay spreads, power ratio among clusters, and propagation pathloss co-efficient, which is very simple compared to conventional 3GPP channel model, is proposed. Moreover, the effectiveness of the proposed channel model is shown by comparing the measured channel capacity.
