Acoustic characteristics of acoustic tubes or solid vocal-tract models, which are formed using different material for modeling or with different wall thickness by a fused deposition modeling (FDM) apparatus, are measured. As the material PLA and ABS resin are used. The wall thickness is set to 1.5 mm or 3.0 mm. The acoustic characteristics of the solid vocal-tract models are compared with the voice of the subject oneself and results of a computer simulation of finite element method. From the measurement results, there was no difference of the acoustic characteristics of the acoustic tubes due to differences in the material and the wall thickness. On the other hand, the acoustic characteristics of the solid vocal-tract model with thin wall were different from the one with thick wall. The acoustic characteristics of the solid vocal-tract models were different from both of the real voice or the computer simulation result. |
