In wireless sensor network where data transmission delay is permitted, it is possible to decrease power consumption by applying a sleep control effectively to the network. In this report, we propose a power saving method by dynamic sleep control in a delay tolerant wireless sensor network. In the proposed method, a node not having any packet goes to sleep, and one having a packet keeps an active state until a node with which it can communicate appears. By computer simulation, we show effectiveness of the proposed method. |
