Development of Deep Neural Network for Initial Values Generation of Dynamical Image-Reconstruction System

(in English) One of the authors et al.¥ have proposed a continuous-time dynamical system for reconstructing tomographic images from acquired projection data. The dynamical system can generate a good quality image even from an insufficient number of projection data after the passage of a sufficient period of time. However, it means that we need a long reconstruction time. As a way to reduce the reconstruction time, we consider giving initial values that are close to original tomographic images to the dynamical system. In this report, we propose a deep neural network (DNN) learned sets of original tomographic images and projection data that are algebraically computed from the original tomographic images. Moreover, we experimentally demonstrate that the proposed DNN can generate initial values as close to the original tomographic images corresponding to projection data.
