The channel-to-channel signal quality equalization method is expected for the long-distance and high capacity systems utilizing space/wavelength-division multiplexing (SDM/WDM) technologies, to extend the reachable distance with the quality improvement of the worst quality signal, especially for uncoupled multicore fiber (UC-MCF) transmission. Recently, it is confirmed that the vector-domain signal quality equalization method is effective to recover the signal quality between two signals experimentally. In this paper, we explain about the way to design the transfer function to increase the channel number for equalization with the vector-domain method. It is evaluated with numerical simulation that 4-ch equalization gives higher Q-factor improvement as 1.5 dB compared to 2-ch equalization. |
