A study of statistical property of intermodulation distortion components generating by power amplifier

(in English) This paper presents a statistical property of intermodulation distortion components generating by power amplifier when inputting a wideband modulated signal. The probability density functions of even- and odd-order intermodulation distortion components are derived using a power-series model of power amplifier. These results show that the statistical properties of the derived probability density functions are different from that of Gaussian distribution function. Furthermore, this paper derives the symbol error probability under the intermodulation distortion components and Gaussian noise when using binary phase shift keying. The symbol error probability is evaluated under second- and third-order intermodulation distortion components and Gaussian noise environment.
