| 抄録 | （和） | 本招待講演では、携帯電話の開発および標準化にいたるまでの様々な課題について日本、米国および欧州での取り組みの考え方について述べる。携帯電話システムは、強いニーズに支えられ、国のインフラであるとともに産業の基盤となり成長をしてきた。こうした中で、携帯電話システムは国際間にまたがる通信サービスの提供とインターネットとの親和性が追求され大きく変貌してきた。その過程において経済振興と競争と協調の中で様々な力学が働き、標準化が行われてきた。本講演はある意味で歴史物語であるが、一般にはあまり公になっていない事項についても紹介する。こうした状況を知ることは、今後の新たなシステム開発に取り組む技術者のみでなくビジネスに携わる人達においても有益であると考え、少しでも本講演が参考となれば幸いである。 |
| （英） | This invited talk addresses various issues and a wrestled way of thinking in Japan, the United States and Europe about the development and standardization in cellular systems from the first generation to the fourth generation. The cellular system has been supported by strong needs and developed dramatically. It has been the infrastructure of the country and grown up as an industrial base. The offer of the global roaming services and affinity with the Internet have been pursued, and the cellular system has greatly underwent a complete change. Various dynamics worked in economic promotion and competition as well as collaboration in the process, and standardization has been performed. In a sense it is historical novel, but introduces the matter which does not become so public generally. This lecture would be useful in not only an engineer working on future new system development but also people engaged in business to know such situation. | |
