[Poster Presentation] Uplink Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access with Single-Carrier Frequency Domain Equalization

(in English) In this paper, we investigate the link-level performances in an uplink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) with single-carrier frequency domain equalization (SC-FDE). The motivation of this work is to clarify the link-level performances for two user equipments (UE) over the independent frequency selective Rayleigh fading channels. The base-station (BS) firstly demodulates the signal of the near-BS and generates its replica, and then demodulates the signal of the far-BS UE after implementing a successive interference cancellation (SIC). Since the signal from each UE is affected by the independent channel distortions, it is difficult to separate the signals between the non-orthogonal UEs at the receiver of the BS. Moreover, the channel equalization processing to the signal of the UE distorts significantly the signal of the other UE. We evaluate a bit error rate (BER) performances for both of the near-BS UE and the far-BS UE. The results show that there is a trade-off of the desired-to-undesired signal ratio (DUR) between the non-orthogonal UEs and the independent channel distortions have a serious impact on the BER performances.
