In recent years, as the number of electronic devices installed in automobiles has increased, the number of wire harnesses to be connected has also increased. Electromagnetic radiation noise generated from common mode current flowing through wire harness may cause a malfunction of electronic device. Therefore, its prediction is required from the standpoint of EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) design. In this study, by introducing the idea of equivalent antennas and considering the wire harness to which the metal case is connected as an asymmetrical dipole antenna,current distribution was estimated from fixed point measurement of common mode current on wire harness. We examined the method of predicting the electric field radiated from the wire harness and verified its effectiveness by computer simulation and experiment. |
