In robotic pollination, detection of partially occluded flowers from a certain viewpoint is very important for making a robot's strategies, such as changing viewpoint changes and removing leaves to occlude the flowers. Image recognition based on deep learning draws our attention strongly due to its high performance. The deep learning requires a large number of training data. However, it is very difficult to prepare the training data of real images. We propose to use the rendered 3DCG images as the training data to overcome the difficulty. We showed that in the rendering, the texture of the plant and realistic background and illumination are essential to achieving training the image recognition that can recognize real scenes. |
