Veracity assessment has attracted researchers from many fields including computer science and social science. This is because of the growing number of social platforms, which aids information dissemination to the world. Having said that, exchanging real-time information across the globe could be achieved without great effort. Consequently, this makes the assessment vital to humankind as information that is not credible leaves a substantial negative impact to the society. In this paper, we focus on the assessment of online news veracity using emotion analysis. The results reveal 95% news are correctly classified. |
