To construct brain-like memory systems, which are desired in the current artificial intelligence, with dedicated hardware, this report proposes a brain-like memory processing model suitable for implementing in integrated circuits, and describes an effort to implement this model by digital integrated circuits. This model is constructed by simplifying the memory processing model in the brain, especially in hippocampus, which has been proposed by the authors based on the physiological knowledge. If this system can be installed in home service robots, such
robots can have the ability to treat episodic memory, and it is expected that the robots can support human personal experience and memory, and assist personal decision in daily life. |
