Ultrasonic under water wireless communication -- alleviation of the inter symbol interference caused by response characteristic --

(in English) Ultrasound is employed for underwater wireless communication, owing to that electromagnetic waves attenuate seriously in water. One of the specific issues on wireless communication using ultrasound is the frequency response. Because of the response properties of ultrasonic transducers, the signal of a symbol will be interfered majorly by the ultrasonic vibrations of former symbol. In this paper, the effect of this kind of inter symbol interference, as well as the effectiveness of alleviation methods, is studied by numerical simulation. An exponentially decayed sinusoid wave is assumed as the impulse response, the BERs of demodulation by using time-domain hanning window, Nyquist filter, and inverse filter are compared.
