Circular SAR (CSAR) is a synthetic aperture imaging technique which employs a circular flight trajectory of the radar-carrying aircraft. The CSAR system maintains its antenna beam to point toward the center of the circular path to irradiate the target area of interest from overall azimuthal angles. The CSAR can be used to reduce the effect of radar shadow which is commonly arises in the conventional SAR. Furthermore, high-resolution radar images can be reconstructed. In this report, we show the application of model-based polarimetric decomposition algorithms for the fully polarimetric CSAR images. We use an airborne real CSAR dataset to demonstrate the idea. |
