FIR-type Transmit Beamforming for Wide-band Single Carrier MIMO Transmission

(in English) Wide-band single carrier MIMO transmission performance suffers from inter-symbol interference and inter-stream interference under frequency selective fading. In this paper, a finite impulse response (FIR)-type transmit beamforming is proposed to suppress the interference. In this method, the inverse matrix of the channel impulse response (CIR) matrix including the transfer function is used for the transmission weight matrix. And the each elements of the transmission weight matrix are represented by the FIR filters. However, since the transmission weight matrix diverges if the inverse response of the determinant of the CIR transfer function matrix is unstable. In this case, the system is realized by selecting SISO transmission with FIR-type transmit equalization. The simulation results are presented to show the proposed method improves the bit error rate performance.
