Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The purpose of this study is to find clues to neurological processes of melody recognition using MEG. We proposed ambiguous melodies to use in our experiments. An ambiguous melody is one which can be heard as more than two alternative melodies by a kind of illusion. ASSR’s in MEG in response to modulated test stimuli were compared for different conditions inducing different illusionary melodies. We have two methods of induction, leading melody or picture. We had experiment of record MEG using two induction methods and analyze the data using source estimation to extract the wave in auditory area.
