In the Low Earth Orbital (LEO) Satellites, transmission data rate of the satellite communication is rapidly increasing toward increasing the observation sensor capabilities of Earth observation satellites and appearance of the LEO constellation service. However, high-order modulation or wideband techniques are reaching the limit of capacity improvement. Therefore, we investigate the high-speed LEO satellite telecommunication system by MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output). In this paper, to reveal the channel capacity improvement of the LEO MIMO, we propose the 2x2 LEO MIMO channel model and report the results of some analysis of the spatial channel matrix and channel capacity according to the antenna distance and phase difference for each elevation angle, under the Line Of Sight (LOS) channel without multipath. |
