Optimal policy rule application method for each IoT device

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In recent years, due to diversification of IoT devices connected to the Internet, control of flexible communication services for each IoT device are required. The control of the communication service on a per-flow basis is realized by the policy control technology defined in 3GPP. As a subject of policy control, in addition to a policy rule application instruction from PCRF, a method is adopted in which a rule is applied from other operators via an API. The current PCRF cannot mediate when contention between policy rules owned by itself and rules applied via API occurs. In this paper, we propose a method to select optimal policy rules in PCRF, including applicable rules via API, and report the results of evaluation.
