In the network, the unknown failure which is hard to recover is called silent failure. To identify a failure point is so difficult and requires a long time.
The conventional method already proposed a fast alternative route setting method using the function of SDN.
However, the conventional method always assumed an identical probability of failure occurrence in all devices. In reality, the probability can be individually estimated in each device.
Therefore, in this research, we introduce the other fast alternate route setting that uses a search tree with consideration of failure probability.
The simulation result shows that failure-detection cost can be reduced when compared to the conventional method, and it can show the tolerance to errors regarding failure probability estimation. |
