DAISY is a digital format developed for the visually impaired. "Multimedia DAISY" with synchronized audio, text and image, and widely used for not only disabled people but also healthy people. However, it is not clear whether it is sufficient for foreigners to learn Japanese language. NHK provides NEWS WEB EASY on the website, which makes it easy to understand news with easy-to-understand Japanese, for foreigners who live in Japan, elementary school students and junior high school students. Furthermore, NHK developed the News with reading assistance for studying Japanese. We tested comprehension of this News with three foreign learners of Japanese living in Japan and examined the effectiveness. |
