Kansei Retrieval of Real Estate Properties

(in English) In order to find a desired room on real estate property retrieval sites which are indispensable service for searching a rental room nowadays, it is necessary to decide conditions such as upper limit of rent and facilities of a room in advance. In this paper, we propose a kansei retrieval method, capable of retrieving property images by kansei words such as "fashionable", "warm" for intuitive search. Kansei words are correlated with image features using regularized canonical correlation analysis, and a kansei search space and a kansei model are generated. We evaluate quantitatively impression of retrieved images is similar to an input kansei vector. The proposed method retrieves an average of 51.36% similar impression images among the top five retrieval results.
