(in English) Ultra-high definition (UHD) video services have been spreading today. For example, 4K broadcasting has started in 2015 at IPTV and the communication satellite (CS) services and 4K/8K broadcasting has started in 2018 at the broadcasting satellite (BS) services in Japan. We have developed a real-time encoder LSI "NARA" in 2015 which conforms to the latest international video coding standard HEVC/H.265 and have been promoting development of video encoding systems to meet the requirements of various types of applications. In this presentation, the architecture of the LSI and the requirements and implementations of the encoder systems are explained.
