A Study on Aggregation/Disaggregation Router Decision Method in Packet Aggregation

(in English) Network traffic volume is increasing year by year. In the future, it is expected that the number of short packets will increase with the spread of sensor devices. As the number of short packets increases, the number of packets flowing into the router exceeds the packet processing performance of the router. As a result, it is considered that router congestion is induced. One of the methods to reduce the number of packets on the network is a method of aggregating packets at the entrance of the network. However, in the method of aggregating packets at the entrance of the network, if the edge router can not aggregate a sufficient number of packets, there is a possibility that the suppression of the number of packets transferred to the relay router becomes insufficient. So, in this paper, we considered packet aggregation besides the entrance of the network. Furthermore, we investigate the algorithm of packet aggregation /disaggregation router decision method in centralized network and evaluate its effectiveness.
