bstract For one of simple energy harvesting using microwave, it is well known that LED that soldered rectifier diode lights by radio waves leaking from a microwave oven, WiFi, etc. The rectifier diode operates as a half-wave dipole antenna to receive radio waves, which is rectified to change to DC power. However, since radio waves floating in the air are weak, it is difficult to obtain energy that can turn on the LED away from the wave source. On the other hand, in the Yagi-Uda antenna, the parasitic element acts as a director and current can flow to the element far from the conductor. This paper proposes applying the principle of Yagi-Uda array antenna theory to energy harvesting using wireless power transmission. Simulation and experimental results show that we achieved lighten the LEDs at a distance from the wave source and to increase the number of LEDs to be lit simultaneously. |
