The influence of audio information of vehicle behavior on pedestrian:Pilotstudy

(in English) When pedestrians cross the streets, it is considered that they predict the future from the vehicle velocity and judge the possibility of crossing the street from drivers’ facial expression and their gestures. However, in the case of automated vehicle, it is assumed that drivers do not face on pedestrians. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed the behavior of pedestrians when the information of vehicle behavior was announced and estimated of the utility of this kind of information. Furthermore, the behavior of pedestrians toward autonomous vehicle was also analyzed.
