Analysis of periodic orbits in digital maps by a self-organizaition synthesis method
Yuya Sawano, Toshimichi Saito (HU) NC2019-2
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Self-organizing learning of digital map is considered in this paper.
The digital map is a simple digital dynamical system defined on a set of points and
the steady state must be a periodic orbit.
Depending on parameters and initial condition, the digital map generates various periodic orbits.
In order to construct a digital map automatically, we present a simple learning algorithm.
The algorithm is based on the self-organizing feature map.
Depending on input signals, the Dmap structure can grow flexibly.
Applying the algorithm to typical examples of chaotic input signals from the bifurcating neuron,
we obtain digital maps and analyze the basic dynamics.
The analysis is carried out using a simple feature quantity that characterize richness of periodic orbits.
