Feasibility Study of MACKEY type S

(in English) With the spread of communication technology represented by smartphones and tablets in recent years, further development of IoT (Internet of Things) is expected. Since these terminals can be connected to the wireless network built in the home from anywhere via the Internet, there is a need for wireless home appliances. In addition to downsizing and thinning, the requirement for an antenna to be mounted with wireless is required to have the flexibility of being able to be installed anywhere regardless of the presence or absence of surrounding metal. The MACKEY (Meta-surface inspired Antenna Chip developed by KIT EOE Laboratory) has been devised as a small antenna that is not affected by the surrounding metal. In this report, in order to miniaturize MACKEY, we propose and consider two models: MACKEY single-sided short circuit type (S1 type) with short circuit plate on one side and MACKEY double-sided short circuit type (S2 type) provided on both sides .
