Fundamental study of electromagnetic wave propagation in the sea at frozen Saroma lake

(in English) As a basic study of an undersea positioning system using electromagnetic waves, we investigated an attenuation of electromagnetic waves in the sea. In this report, we show the validity of the result of the propagation experiment in the frozen Saroma lake in winter and indicate our thoughts of the attenuation of electromagnetic waves in the situation. We also report the attenuation in case of using antennas which have different shape.
