(in English) The scope of IoT (Internet of things), which originally considers a system with RFID (radio frequency identifier) using relatively short-distance and one-way wireless commutation, expands to the systems for various targets that require wide-area and bidirectional wireless communications. But most of the IoT systems in the real world remains sensor networks with one-directional communications, because of the limitations caused by wireless systems. For the realization of new social infrastructures of "IoT era" further development of wireless technology to support IoT applications is required. Among innumerable subjects of communication that the word "thing" of IoT indicates, this talk focuses on wireless control of machines as one of the most essential applications.
