In a stand-alone autonomous driving vehicle, the vehicle travels by sensing its surroundings only with its own sensor. For this reason, there are problems such as a vehicle on a local road that cannot join for a long time depending on the movement of other vehicles on the highway. Therefore, a "Network Assisted Autonomous Driving Vehicle Platform" has been proposed, which enables information collection in a vehicle that cannot be sensed, and coordinated control with other vehicles. This platform uses the idea of Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) to ensure a high quality of service (QoS). It enables low-latency service provision by using edge computers close to the vehicle. Edge computer is considered to be essential for autonomous driving that requires real-time processing, but there is a problem that the closest edge changes as the vehicle moves. In this method, agent migration is performed by using a virtual machine (VM) or a lightweight container for the agent application. As a result, redundant data other than the information necessary for autonomous operation is also exchanged, and there is a problem that traffic is wasted. In this research, we hand over the session between the agent and the vehicle to the next edge agent to be connected and reduce the traffic volume by exchanging only the necessary information. The time required for the handover was measured throughout this study. Through this research, by measuring the time required for the session handover, the information of “points” installed every 20 cm, which is the route data required for automatic operation, to the vehicle running When transmitting at 1 second intervals, it was clarified that it is necessary to transmit 14 points at a time. We also confirmed that the traffic volume can be reduced more than VM migration type agent migration by measuring the traffic volume. |
