(in English) Innovation is strongly required in rapidly changing economic environment. As a process to achieve the innovation, methodology such as the design thinking and the human-centred design is noticed, and many practices are carried out. In this paper, the author arranges these methodologies from the viewpoint of service design, and examines the role of research and development of new technology. In addition, the future of the innovation process mainly on the development of new technology is discussed.
