Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Implant medical devices such as a capsule endoscope play an important role for realizing next-generation medical treatment. In such implant medical applications, it is important to simultaneously estimate multiple implant device locations. For this purpose, electromagnetic (EM) imaging is a promising candidate to localize multiple device locations by using scattered electric fields. However, a conventional greedy method cannot be directly applied to this localization problem because accurate location estimation requires enough amount of measured data. For the reason, this paper proposed an EM imaging-based multiple implant device location estimation method with peak-formed incident electric fields, which enables highly precise multiple implant device localization without any sacrifices of computational complexity. In addition, we evaluated the estimation accuracy of the proposed localization method with a numerical human body model. Our evaluation results demonstrated the proposed method can improve the estimation accuracy in the aid of peak-formed incident electric fields.
