Evaluation of fishbone-type superconducting resonator

(in English) Fishbone transmission line (FTTL) is an artificial transmission line with a periodic structure. FTTL can produce a transmission line with the desired characteristic impedance and effective wavelength because of its design freedom. In this study, we analyzed the transmission characteristics of FTTL and designed and fabricated a half-wave resonator using the results. The FTTL design method was experimentally verified by comparing the transmission characteristics and analysis results. Moreover, when the effective wavelengths of the FTTL and coplanar lines were compared by experiments, it was found that the effective wavelength of the FTTL was sufficiently shorter than that of the coplanar lines. This paper reports the details of these results.
