SrRuO3 is known as 4d itinerant ferromagnetic material, which shows ferromagnetic transition at Tc = 160 K. According to the previous literature, the spin polarization of single thin film is reported to be P = 0.51 at 4.2 K, which is much larger than that expected by theoretical calculation with P = 0.2. They concluded that the origin of enhancement of the spin polarization is difference the Fermi velocity between up and down spins in this material. We investigated the electronic density of state of polycrystalline SrRuO3 using point-contact spectroscopy. From the experimental results, the spin polarization of polycrystalline sample is larger than that of single crystal. We concluded the enhancement is originate from the changing the transport property from ballistic to diffusive. |
