We propose an optical vortex splitter that can be integrated into a conventional silicon photonics optical circuit. The device consists of several topological edge transmission lines with C6 symmetric Si / SiO2 nanoholes arranged in a honeycomb lattice. By arbitrarily setting the photonic structure of the optical fiber, it becomes possible to continuously change the branching ratio of the optical vortex propagating in the circuit. Propagation characteristics can be determined by the three-dimensional time domain difference method (FDTD method). As a result of analysis, the band diagram of an arbitrary photonic structure was gradually shifted from a trivial system to a topological system, and the splitter ratio of optical vortices at two output ports was controlled within the range of 10% to 90%. At this time, the state of the incident light vortex and the state of the outgoing light vortex branched to each port are completely the same in both the mode state and the rotation direction, and the state of the optical vortex is maintained in the optical circuit. It was shown that the continuous splittinng ratio can be controlled. |
