Beam Scanning Three-Dimensional Monopulse Antenna for Flying Cars Collision Avoidance

(in English) This paper presents the beam scanning three-dimensional monopulse antenna for flying cars collision avoidance. In our previous study, the radiation patterns for a monopulse antenna was designed on the basis of a two-dimensional manner, i.e. on the horizontal plane. In this study, we extend the method of designing a monopulse antenna to three-dimensional coordinates to accommodate actual usage scenarios in flying car applications, which require good characteristics of radiation patterns in high elevation angles because flying cars have a high degree of freedom of varying their flight routes. The results reveal that good sigma and delta radiation patterns in high elevation angles are obtained for the spatially partitioning of interrogations and replies sequence for collision avoidance.
